My Day, My Way

Alarm goes off, I hit it twice, Five more minutes feels so nice… Phone lights up, I scroll instead, Suddenly I’m late again Coffee spills, I miss my train, Running circles in my brain, Wait a second — who’s in charge? Why’s my day so extra large? Either I run my day — or it runs me Either I’m free — or I’m just busy Minute by minute — I choose the way It’s my life, my time, my day! Either I lead — or I get lost Paying time at double cost No more “later”, no delay I run my life — my day, my way! Emails, calls, a million things, Everyone just pulls my strings, “Do this now!” — “Don’t be late!” Who decided all this fate? Too many tabs inside my head, Chasing things I never said, But I know what I should do— Pick what matters, follow through Either I run my day — or it runs me Either I’m free — or I’m just busy Minute by minute — I choose the way It’s my life, my time, my day! Either I lead — or I get lost Paying time at double cost No more “later”, no delay I run my life — my day, my way! I run my day — it won’t run me! Now I’m free — not just busy! Step by step — I choose the way I own every single day! No more drift, no more delay Little choices lead the way Step by step, I’m on my way— My life, my time, my day, my way!
